Cairns Airport Terminal 2

Cairns Airport Terminal 2 is the domestic terminal, hosting more than 30 domestic flights, mainly of Qantas carrier.

Transport between terminals

You can transfer to Terminal 1 by a covered walkway on the eastern wing of the airport.

Levels

Cairns Airport Terminal 2 is split into three separate areas:

Arrivals and Check-in

The Arrivals and the check-in area is located in the west part of the level. It is connected to the Departures lounge by a covered walkway. Facing the Check-in area there is the drop off and pick up area, including ground transportation options (shuttle bus and taxi). The public car parks are located in front of both Check-in and Departures lounge. This area is the common check-in of the Domestic Terminal.

Departures

Find in this area the Departures lounge and boarding gates 14 to 17, 18 and 19, and 20 to 22. There is no connection to the baggage claim area.

The Baggage claim area

Find in this area the baggage services. Access to the ground transportation options (shuttle bus, taxi and car rental) and pick up and drop off passenger’s area. The car rental booths area faces the Baggage claim area.
