Cairns Airport Terminal 1

Cairns Airport Terminal 1 is the international terminal, which hosts 18 international flights and it is also the main hub for Qantas airline.

Transfer between terminals

You can transfer to Terminal 2 by a covered walkway on the eastern wing of the airport. Terminal 2 can be reached by a short walk, since they are located within 200 meters to each other.

Levels

Cairns Airport Terminal 1 is split into two levels as follows:

Ground level

This is the Arrivals area. Find in this level the Baggage claim area, the security check and the ground transportation options (car rental, bus and taxi). Services available: parking lots, pick up and drop off areas, car rental booths, baggage trolley, disabled access, customs, currency exchange. Access to the upper level by escalators and lifts.

First level

This is the Departures area. In this level there are the check-in counters, the Departures lounge and boarding gates 1 to 6. Services available: Toilets, baby care room, accessible toilet, ATMs, food, drink and retail concessions, airline service desk, public phones and escalators and lifts to the lower level.
